Real estate sales in Turkey to foreigners reached 67,490 properties, representing 4.5% of Turkey's total real estate sales.

Istanbul ranked first in terms of the number of properties sold to foreigners, with 24,953 properties sold, followed by Antalya with 21,860 properties sold, then Mersin with 4,316 properties sold to foreigners.

6,386 properties sold during the last month of 2022

During the last month of December 2022, real estate sales to foreigners decreased by 18.6% compared to 2021, as the number of properties sold reached 6,386 properties, and the city of Antalya ranked first in real estate sales to foreigners, with 2465 properties, followed by Istanbul with 1968 properties.

Russian nationals owned the most real estate in 2022

16,312 properties were sold during the year 2022 to Russian citizens, and Iranian citizens came in second place with 8,223 properties, followed by Iraqis with 6,241 properties.
