The decision to free gas in Turkey for a month and reduce consumption bills for a full year came into force after it was published in the Official Turkish Gazette, in implementation of promises made by Turkish President Erdogan to the Turkish people on the occasion of connecting the Black Sea gas to the local network.
Where the invoices for the month of April 2023 were received and written on them were paid by the Republic of Turkey, with a guarantee of free natural gas for homes to meet the needs of kitchens and water for a full year, in implementation of promises made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Presidential decree covering natural gas expenses
Under the presidential decree, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources will cover the first consumption bills for natural gas in homes and places of worship between April 24 to May 31.
With the Turkish state provides 25 cubic meters of natural gas for kitchens and hot water for homes free of charge until May 1, 2024.
