Visa determination procedures during the epidemic

After Covid 19 epidemic began to lose its effect day by day, South Korea decided to cancel visa restrictions for Turks. Due to epidemiological precautions, each country had some restrictions. Some had contraindications while entering the country and others were not allowed any entry at all. The South Korean government has taken some precautions, too. The person who was connected to Turkey wanted the Turkish citizens to have a proper visa for the purpose of their visit. Of course, the numbers were limited and not everyone was able to enter the country. Apart from some particular reasons and people such as diplomatic passport holders, the restrictions were all hugely subtle. People who wish to travel to South Korea must comply with the restrictions imposed by the Korean authorities.

Exemption of South Korea from entry visa to Turkey

On May 3, 1972, the mutual visa exemption between Turkey and South Korea entered into force. With this implementation, Turkish citizens have the opportunity to travel to South Korea without any visa. They only needed their passports during the visit. But due to the pandemic conditions, permits and exemptions have been suspended. The South Korean government canceled the allowances on April 13, 2020. Turkish citizens needed visas and met some other necessities while entering the country.

After the pandemic began to lose its effect, each country began removing the restrictive measures. Just like other countries, South Korea has also removed some precautions as well. According to the news revealed by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, South Korea has canceled visa restrictions against Turkey once again. This is according to the mutual agreement between the two countries in 1972. So now Turkish citizens will be able to enter the country using only their passports again and without any other requirements.
