Strict laws regarding the right to publish unofficial statistics in Turkey

New information about a new draft law that will be submitted by the AK Party related to preventing any person or institution from publishing statistics unofficially.

or without the approval of the Turkish Statistical Authority "TÜİK"

They stated that the penalties will affect persons or institutions that will not abide by the new law, and the term of imprisonment may reach 3 years

All authorities will have to present their statistics related to the environment, demographics, prices, labor, agriculture, and national accounts in an official and approved manner.
